Flame-retardant cloth grade, flame-retardant cloth specifications, flame-retardant cloth, as the name suggests, is a cloth that can prevent the flame from burning, but there is also a standard that can automatically extinguish the fire 16 seconds after leaving the flame. Flame-retardant cloths are divided into two categories: pre-treatment flame-retardant cloth and post-treatment flame-retardant cloth.

 

 

Flame retardant cloth grade

 

The level of flame retardant, that is, the nature of the material or the material that has been treated to delay the spread of flame, and the hierarchical system.

 

The flame retardant rating is increased from HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0 step by step:

 

1. HB: The lowest flame retardant rating in the UL94 standard. For samples from 3 to 13 mm thick, the burning speed is less than 40 mm per minute; for samples smaller than 3 mm thick, the burning speed is less than 70 mm per minute; or it is extinguished before the 100 mm mark.

 

2. V-2: After two 10 second burn tests on the sample, the flame is extinguished within 60 seconds. There may be a burning object falling.

 

3. V-1: After two 10 second burn tests on the sample, the flame is extinguished within 60 seconds. There can be no burning things falling.

 

4. V-0: After two 10 second burn tests on the sample, the flame is extinguished within 30 seconds. There can be no burning things falling.
